What did we do today?

Saturday, December 1, 2007
Just the usual routine of walking around the mall a couple of times trying to get our exercise then back home and settled in doing much of nothing.

We did watch the Tennessee-LSU football game on television later in the afternoon. It was for the SEC title. We shouted and screamed loudly hoping they would come through and win.

We felt obligated to pull for Tennessee. Some of our daughter and her husband’s money went there several years ago when he got his master’s degree. You hate to see good money go down the drain, so you have to hope they’ll stay in business. (A good bit of my money went into that town, too, because I kept A. C. Moore and the other scrapbooking stores in business every trip we made up there. Even some in nearby Seiverville, TN.) Besides The Little Princesses’ Daddy thinks he wants his little darling to go to school there and maybe even be a cheerleader. Yeah, right! Talk to me in about 17 or 18 more years, Daddy. I predict you will insist her Mommy home school her so she doesn’t have to leave home, much less the state. Poor baby. She will have to run away from home to eat out at McDonald’s! I don’t see Knoxville as being her destination for college, unless the two of you are going to relocate there yourselves.

Anyway, the hollering and screaming was to no avail and Tennessee lost to LSU. Too bad. It’s about the only football team I can stand watching. But they did themselves proud last week end, didn’t they? Too bad they couldn’t have continued this week end. Oh well.
