I'm a grandmomma again!

My daughter-in-law called this morning all excited. I'm a grandmomma again and she couldn't wait to share the great news with me. This time it's a little girl. After three boys she's finally got a little girl.

The boys and their daddy are so excited they could hardly stand themselves. They have been planning this for quite a while and their dream is finally coming true.

Her name is Sophie. The boys got together and came up with the name for her. She's a precious little white Bison puppy which weighs only two pounds. Probably will weigh a total of around 5-6 pounds. Daddy is allergic to every kind of dog or cat, so after much research they finally found this one. The lady didn't want to part with her to begin with, but after much begging, pleading, crying and just downright not taking no for an answer, the woman finally told them she would part with the puppy. It was the only one left in the litter and she had planned to keep her, but finally did give in. The owner lived in Tennessee and today was the only time she could get back with them this week, so they met in Dalton and got her.

They were on their way back home with her when my DIL called with her good news. Beautiful Blue Eyes (3 years old) was sitting in the back seat holding her gently. Mom said Sophie had jumped up and put her little feet onto James' chest immediately. She really wanted to go home with him.

Can't wait to see how well she adjusts to her new home and they to her. They will be crate training her to make it easier on everybody. I'm sure it will go well; they have plenty of space to put her in their new home.

So, congratulations to all of the new family members. Welcome, Sophie. Can't wait to see you Christmas Eve. Just don't plan to make too much trips to spend the night with Grandmomma; she's busy with the other little folks most days now.
